Amrita School of Biotechnology

Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham is one of the fastest growing educational institutions and has established several centers of excellence and launched major research initiatives. The School offers undergraduate, postgraduate and Ph.D programmes in Biotechnology, Microbiology and Bioinformatics

LaboratoryLocated in the Amritapuri Campus, Kerala, the Amrita School of Biotechnology, previously known as the Centre for Biotechnology under the School of Arts & Science, was founded in September 2004 with Amma’s blessings. In the short time since its inception, the School has already established its presence as a preferred institution of higher learning and research, with national and international collaborations in the field of Biological Sciences.

The Department of Science & Technology, under its Mission Reach program, selected The School, at a national level as a “Centre Of Relevance and Excellence” CORE in Biomedical Technology.
